Knight Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning
No Nonsense Carpet Cleaning for over 20 Years!!
Got Pet Stains?
We here at Knight Carpet Cleaning realize everyone loves their pets,
after all their part of the family. However with pets comes accidents
and urine contamination. Knight Carpet takes a different approach then
many other carpet cleaning companies. First thing is we tell you the truth
about your situation. Second we don't charge extra for getting rid of the
smell and the urine in the padding and carpet. It's all about doing everything
we possibly can do for our customers!
What type of problems are my pets creating in my home?
When your pet pees on the rug, the urine goes through the carpet, through,
the padding and into the sub floor. Keep in mind urine crystals never
dry! I can detect urine from a pet that peed ten years ago. That is why when it
starts to get humid like in April the smell becomes more pronounced. The only
thing you can do to rectify the situation is to pull up the carpet, throw away the
padding and carpet, and seal the sub floor. For most of our customers, for whatever
reason that is not an option. We use a procedure called sub surface extraction.
What is subsurface extraction and how is it applied with urine contamination?
Sub surface extraction is when the area where your pet peed is saturated with an enzyme
cleaner and a very powerful and expensive deodorizer called "Odorcide". Please google
this product to learn more. Then we use a tool called the "Water Claw" to extract the
enzyme, deodorizer and urine out of the carpet, padding, and sub floor. It's revolutionary
technology and has been around for about five years. This process doesn't completely solve
your issues as stated above, but it does one heck of a job! We're able to get rid of a lot of the
urine smell and a lot of the urine in the padding and carpet. When we show up for our scheduled
appointment just show the technician where the pet stains are and we'll take it from there!
